Sanjay Dutt on Munnabhai 3: Let Ranbir Kapoor finish the biopic. There's no hurry

Sanjay Dutt says that there is no hurry in making Munnabhai 3. However, Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Rajkumar Hirani are working on the script of the film.

Speculations are rife regarding actor Sanjay Dutt’s new films in the pipeline. While the actor has not put out an official word on any new film signed by him, one film that always keeps on talking about is Munnabhai 3.

Munnabhai MBBS, directed by Vishu Vinod Chopra, was one of the most popular films of Sanjay Dutt’s career. And talks are on for the third part of the sequel for long now. However, Sanjay says that the work on the film has already started. Talking about the latest update on Munnabhai 3, Sanjay Dutt revealed that Rajkumar Hirani and VVC have started the work on the script. He said:

We have a concept in place already. Raju and Mr Chopra are working on the script. The makers are currently working on my biopic starring Ranbir Kapoor after which Munnabhai 3 will go on floors. I am also looking forward to that film because it’s extremely special for me.

Adding to how the third part in the popular series will ensure more fun and entertainment, Sanjay asserted that it’s good that the makers are not hurrying the project. He said:

Mr Chopra doesn’t give a go ahead to any project until he’s satisfied with it. There have been talks for a while now, but I understand why he and Raju aren’t hurrying with it. They want to better the Lage Raho standard, which will take a lot of effort. Agreed that it’s a franchise that people will love to see every year but practically we can’t do that because we have to have a solid story. And cracking that takes a while.

Sooner or later, Munnabhai 3 is sure to get all the love that the previous two films in the franchise have got.
