"Roads Like Hema Malini's Cheeks'': Netas Can't Seem To Do Away With Sexism

Madhya Pradesh minister PC Sharma has stoked controversy for his sexist remarks about Bollywood actor & BJP MP Hema Malini during the inspection of roads in Bhopal. This isn’t the first time a politician has made distasteful comments about Hema Malini in public. In January, MP PWD Minister Sajjan Singh Verma made derogatory statements while taking on the BJP.  In April 2013,  the then UP minister Raja Ram Pandey promised to build roads as smooth as the cheeks of Hema Malini and Madhuri Dixit  at a public event in Pratapgarh. In the 90s, RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav was attributed for a comment about constructing roads in Bihar ”as smooth as the cheeks of Hema”. Lalu however denied having made such a comment
