#Shame: IndiGo, can you really get away with abusing and manhandling passengers?- Watch Video

This is not the first time when passengers have faced such behaviour at airports

Air carrier IndiGo has had a history of rude behaviour and manhandling incidents. After ace badminton player PV Sindhu shared her impolite experience with Indigo on Twitter, a video of an IndiGo employee verbally abusing and physically assaulting a 53-year-old passenger has emerged. The video recorded by another IndiGO employee has gone viral on social media and received backlash.

Rajeev Katiyal, who arrived from Chennai at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, was waiting for the bus inside the airport when the incident happened. In the video, Rajeev and a few officials can be seen involved in a verbal and physical spat with each other over a bus ride inside the airport on October 15.

The airline later apologised to Katiyal and said strict action has been taken against the erring employees. Deputy Commissioner of Police Sanjay Bhatia said a compromise has arrived between Katiyal and IndiGo staff Jubi Thomas.

Also, Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha has sought a detailed report from IndiGo regarding this incident.

In a series of tweets, Sinha said,

IndiGo, that’s shameful!
