After a long silence on a matter which shook Bollywood, Hrithik Roshan has finally spoken up. Kangana Ranaut has been discussing her ‘alleged affair’ with Hrithik in several high profile interviews during the promotions for her film Simran. Kangana didn’t shy away from revealing intricate details about her alleged relationship with Hrithik. Till now we were unaware of Hrithik’s side of the story. It is only now that Hrithik has broken his silence.
The controversy that really never died down was reignited when Hrithik accused Kangana of stalking him in a 29-page complaint. A day after Hrithik’s lawyer Mahesh Jethmalani filed the complaint, the actor took to Facebook to write how the entire controversy affected him. The actor asked many questions in the long post.

How can two high-profile individuals have a passionate affair without any witness or photos clicked by the media?
In the post, Hrithik wrote:
No evidence, no paparazzi pictures, no witnesses, not even a memento in possession like a selfie taken at the alleged engagement which is claimed to have happened in Paris in Jan 2014. Nothing that constitutes an exchange or any sort of proof of a romantic relationship.

How did they have an alleged engagement in Paris in 2014 when he didn’t travel abroad that year, as per his passport?
When the controversy broke out, there were reports that Hrithik put a rock on Kangana’s finger in Paris. Addressing it, Hrithik said:
My passport details show no travel outside the country in Jan 2014, which is the date that this alleged engagement supposedly took place. In Paris.
However, Kangana has never claimed that the two were engaged. There were only rumours about it.
Why has Kangana refused to submit her laptop to cyber cell?
There are 3000 one-sided emails which either I have sent to myself or the woman in question has sent to me. The Cyber-Crime Dept. can prove or disprove either story, in just a few days. Towards that purpose, I have surrendered all my devices including laptops/phones etc which are still lying with the cyber cell, but the other party has refused to do so.
Is it not possible for a man to be harassed by a woman?
Hrithik did not risk sounding as a chauvinist in his post. Which is why he carefully chose his words to imply he wasn’t a womaniser or anything like that. He accepted to understanding that women haven’t been always treated fairly by the society, but that doesn’t mean there can’t be any incident when the man is not the oppressor. He wrote:
If the people are comfortable with a lie because it doesn’t threaten their model of the world where a girl is the victim and the man the aggressor then so be it. I am ok with that too. Nothing that constitutes an exchange or any sort of proof of a romantic relationship. Yet we want to believe the other party because the rhetoric is -why would a girl lie.
How is it a lover’s spat?
Hrithik quite clearly mentioned in his post that what he has been dragged into is not a lovers’ spat. He claimed of being harassed by this for 4 years. He also explained how difficult it has become for him to defend himself since everyone seems to be taking Kangana’s side.
I have been harassed by this for 4 years and the well meaning and probably necessary social bias toward women has deemed me helpless in defending myself.
Allegations and counter allegations have become a part and parcel of this high-profile battle. It remains to be seen more dirty laundry will be washed by the duo in public, or an investigation will put an end this never-ending controversy.
