Ban on liquor was Nitish Kumar’s primary agenda when he went to polls in 2015.
The Bihar Chief Minister had recently said that there is no political goal behind the decision to impose ban on sale of liquor in Bihar, but was only being done to bring in social reform.
He had also claimed that the ban had checked incidence of domestic violence in the state and had expressed hope that it will help improve purchasing power of the people.
