Baahubali 2 beats Dangal in 5 days to become the highest grossing Indian film at the US Box Office

Baahubali 2 has beaten the lifetime collection of Aamir Khan starrer Dangal at the US Box Office. The film done this within just 5 days of its release

SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Conclusion is making new Box Office records and breaking the existing ones, not just in India but overseas as well. The film which always ensured an earth-shattering Box Office has now beaten the record of Aamir Khan starrer Dangal at the US Box Office. The film has minted over $12. 6 million till Wednesday, 3 May, which is equal to around Rs 80. 93 crore. Dangal, which was so far the highest grossing film at the US Box Office stood at $12.4 million which is equal to around Rs 79. 64 crore.

Te Great India Films, the US distributor of the film, had also confirmed that Baahubali 2 has officially surpassed the life-time earnings of Dangal at the US Bbox Office. This is also special considering the Prabhas starrer has done this within just 6 days of its release and has become the highest grossing Indian film in the US.

Having reportedly earned over Rs 600 crore worldwide so far, the film is on its way to beat the life-time collections of Aamir Khan’s PK now. The Hindi version of the film had collected Rs 168. 25 crore till Tuesday with Wednesday minting around Rs 30 crore. As per the early estimates, the total India collection of Baahubali 2 in 6 days would stand close to Rs 200 crore, which is huge. Also, after being the highest grossing film in Karnataka and Kerala, the Anushka Shetty starrer is expected to mint around Rs 300 crore in 6 days from the its Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam versions combined.

The official figures are still awaited for the India collection of Baahubali 2 till Wednesday.
