When the Miss World 2016 pageant was held, little did Stephanie Del Valle of Puerto Rico know that she is soon going to hold the title It was a big moment for Stephanie who always dreamt of making a mark into the world of fashion. She was lauded by the judges as well as the audience at the 66th edition of the Miss World pageant which was held yesterday, 18 December 2016 in the United States.
The event was a star-studded affair and was hosted at a global level. Stephanie Del Valle Diaz has decided to carry forward the mantle by succeeding Miss World 2015 Mireia Lalaguna of Spain. Yaritza Reyes from the Dominican Republic was the first runner-up and Natasha Mannuela from Indonesia were declared as the second runner-up.

The beautiful event was hosted by actor Jason Cook and former Miss World 2013, Megan Young. Stephanie was delighted and could not hold her tears as she defeated 117 contestants to clinch the title.

Interestingly, the pageant introduced several new segments in the competition this year. They introduced ‘The Top Model’ contest for the very first time which was won by Miss China. The Multimedia Award was won by Miss Philippines and The Sports competition was won by Miss Cook Islands. The contestants also did some amazing dance performances on stage to take the Miss World 2016 competition to another level.
She was also the Miss Puerto Rico for 2016. Stephanie is drop dead gorgeous and she did impress everyone with her answers.
