The colours we wear play a significant role in whether we look fresh or dull. Particularly, Indian girls often hear comments like “oh God! what’s she wearing? The colour isn’t suiting her at all.” So, when I saw a college friend wearing black every day, I decided to ask her and she was like – “Only black suits me.”
Well, the philosophy that black suits her is something not true. For some people, black is their all time favourite colour. But isn’t it boring to wear black at college, on weekends, wedding, parties and everywhere else?
Most of the time black looks good but glamour is lost in the mist. It kills the aesthetic beauty and surpasses it with gloominess. Black might make you look thin but there are a ton of other shades which will make you look extremely gorgeous.
Experiment with different hues as it will be a lot of fun to play with. The good thing about Indian skin is that we can carry any colour with grace. Our sun-kissed skin is graceful and alluring and goes with every colour. From Brick to Electric Blue, here’s a list of colours that suit all skin tones:
A shade which is a mixture of red and brown, brick flatters Indian skin. It adds a pinch of warmness to your skin and makes you look sleek.
A high-intensity shade of blue which is very vibrant. It can flatter any skin tone and compliment well with any other colour.
The greenish yellow shade is much popular lately and is truly polarising. It goes well with turquoise and purple if you are wearing it waist down.
A neutral considered shade goes well with monochromes or an ensemble of colours in a cluster. Prep with chunky jewellery to ace in this shade.
Not as shiny as silver but a little dull like charcoal, it will add a shine to your persona. This shade is a bit metallic and a good substitute for silver.
Shades of red are really stimulating and so is crimson. This colour is primary and is as bold as your personality.
The warm shade of gold will make you look like a Greek Goddess. Not so glittery neither dull, a perfect shade for a dusky skin.
One of the colours that suit all skin tones. The jewel tone of the colour won’t make your skin look washed out. Emerald goes best with dark bottoms like black or blue. Go for dress or pair it with dark-coloured pencil skirt or dark-blue denim jeans.
