Have you ever felt the pressure of making the right decision when you are sitting in a nail salon and the person suddenly asks what colour or nail art do you want them to do? It’s kind of a trivial thing but at times our brain does this thing where it gets all confused fearing that what if they make the wrong choice. What if you spend money on expensive manicures and it ends up looking like eagle claws? You can occasionally afford to take a leap to push your creative boundary and ditch your favourite shade of nail paint. Because we are sure that you can never go as far as these people. Here, we bring to you some of the weirdest nail art trends that we’ve ever seen!

Scorpion nail art

Taking beauty trends to cruel extremes, this bizarre trend saw women glueing dead scorpions to their finger nails. This trend started in Mexico and soon it gained popularity worldwide.They used a baby Centruroides Suffusus scorpion whose venom is so poisonous that it can kill a human within 15 minutes. And to be honest, it doesn’t look worth it.

Furry nail art 

The most haunting part is that the moment you want to scratch yourself, you will probably end up feeling more itchy. No idea why this trend became a trend but it was also used in New York Fashion Week 2016.

Glass nail art

If you are thinking that the thought of sticking glasses on to your nails is terrifying, don’t worry. It is not actual glass it is just slivers of cellophane arranged on the nails to reflect light. It is a good excuse to get out of washing duties though.

Aquarium nail art

Thankfully, we don’t have fishes included here. Aquarium nails are made by injecting double-paned acrylic with baby oil and a whole lot of glitter. It is also used to create snow globe nails.

Succulent nail art

If you are a greenery fan, we have got something for you in the nail art department. Take your love for plants to new levels by growing a few succulents on your fingernails. Because, why not?

Nasty nail art

Instead of a perfectly finished look, nail artists create a dirty and filthy look for the nails. Previously considered unkempt, this became a nail trend.

Duck feet nails

AKA flared nails. We agree that flared jeans and flared sleeves are in trend but that does not make this duck feet nail trend acceptable. One of the worst trends ever.
