Watch: UP school turns into dance bar for a day, administration seeks report

Teachers at a primary school in Uttar Pradesh got shocked on finding empty liquor bottle in the classrooms when they came to school a day after Raksha Bandhan. Later the school authorities got to know that the school was turned into a dance bar and the video of the incident, which took place in Mirzapur, has gone viral on the social media.

As the incident came to light, the local administration has asked for a report from the Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA), however, no action has been taken till now against the organisers. Meanwhile, Mirzapur BSA Parvin Tiwari claimed that there is no involvement of school teachers or principal in it.

“We are preparing a detailed report of the incident, and it will be submitted to the district magistrate on Thursday for further action. We have taken note of this shocking incident and gathered all details”, said Tiwari.

BSA told that school was closed for three days from Saturday to Monday and the principal told him that the gram pradhan asked for the keys of school from him after the classes got over. The gram pradhan celebrated the birthday of his son in the school where the dance party was also organised.

In the video, women can be seen dancing on a makeshift stage while men are showering money on them. The dance party took place at the primary school in Tetariya village in Jamalpur police station area of Mirzapur. The next day when teachers came they found the filth scattered in the school. After which the teachers and the children cleaned the school on Tuesday.
