Rabri Devi said she doesn't want mall-going and cinema hall going girls for her boys but would prefer a ' desi girl' as her daughters-in-law, especially for Tej Pratap who according to her is very religious

On the occasion of Bihar’s  former Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav’s 70th birthday, his wife Rabri Devi (also a former CM) said she is looking for “well-cultured” girls for their sons- Tej Pratap and Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, currently both are ministers in Nitish Kumar-led government in Bihar. Rabri Devi said she doesn’t want ‘mall-going’ and ‘cinema hall going’ girls for her boys instead she would prefer a ‘ desi girl’  as her daughters-in-law, especially for Tej Pratap who according to her is very religious.

When asked what kind of daughters-in-law she would prefer for her two sons, Rabri said, “Cinema hall aur mall jane wali ladki nahi chahiye. Ghar chalaane wali, bade buzurg ka aadar karne wali, jaise ki hum hain, waisi ladki chahiye. (I don’t want cinema hall and mall-going girls. She should be one who can look after the house, respect elders, and manage outside work, just like me).”Currently, Tej Pratap Yadav is Health Minister in Bihar government while Tejashwi Yadav is Deputy CM of Bihar.
