Ahead of stormy Parl session, Modi govt says willing to discuss any issue

The Modi government is facing serious criticism from the opposition over its demonetisation move.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday expressed hope that a positive discussion would take place in the upcoming Winter Session.

“We are ready for discussion on any issue, we are doing good work so we have no problems in discussing anything,” Naidu told reporters.

Naidu’s comments have come in response to the criticism faced by the Modi government for its move to demonetise Rs 1,000 and 500 notes. The government is likely to come under fire from the opposition as the Winter session of Parliament will begin today.

Meanwhile, BJP president Amit Shah convened a meeting of all the party MPs and office bearers ahead of the UP Assembly polls.
