The photograph of Islamic State’s (ISIS) Khorasan module terrorist Saifullah, who was gunned down in Thakurganj, Lucknow on March 7, has been released by the Uttar Pradesh ATS (Anti-Terrorism Squad) on March 8. The Uttar Pradesh ATS said that Saifullah belonged to the Khurasan module of the Islamic Sate and had linked with the Bhopal-Ujjain train blast in Madhya Pradesh.

In a joint operation by Uttar Pradesh police and Madhya Pradesh Police eight arrests were made. The three of the accused — Danish, Mir Hussain and Atish Muzaffar — were arrested from Pipariya in MP. Two more, Mohammad Faisal and Mohammad Irfan, were nabbed from Jajmau near Kanpur, while another, Alam, was arrested from Etawah in UP.

The father of the arrested suspects from Kanpur—Faisal and Mohammad Irfan, said “the accusations on my sons are false. Faisal took care of a shop and Imran is married. He has a daughter.”

“Danish also my son; has left home as I have scolded him for not working,” father of the arrested suspects added.

ISIS Khurasan module is a big fraction of Tehreek-e-Taliban of Pakistan (TTP) which operate in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
