In a shocking incident happened at a medical college in Kottayam, Kerala, a boy set a girl on fire along with himself which became the reason of their sudden deaths.
20-year-old Laxmi was sitting in her classroom when and 26-year-old Adarsh arrived there and started pouring petrol on her and himself. Next, the man took out a lighter from his pocket while Laxmi ran out of the class screaming for help.
Unfortunately, the boy somehow managed to catch the girl and put her fire and then he set himself ablaze.
After the incident, both of them were taken to the hospital but they couldn’t be saved as they had seven major burns and they died on February 1. Two classmates who tried to save her were also burnt and are being treated.
As reported by the police, both, Laxmi and Adarsh, were in a relationship earlier but later they broke up. The separation between them turned Adarsh furious and he finally took this brutal step.
There were fewer students in the college when Adarsh walked in, as there was a strike. He was also not stopped because he had come to the college for an exam just a day before
Laxmi, who was studying physiotherapy at the School of Medical Education, had suffered nearly 65 per cent burns. While Adarsh was an ex-student of this college.
