UP Polls: 'Modi Magic' lock guards the door of defeated Samajwadi Party MLA

Twitteratis were quick to take notice of the inherent irony in the image

Modi Magic has not only sealed the fate of opposition parties in Uttar Pradesh elections, lock bearing the same could also be found hanging outside the door of a Samajwadi party candidate. After being handed down a humiliating defeat in the state polls, the former MLAs of SP have started vacating their official residences even before the new government has been formed. The lock was found hanging at the exit gate of the official residence of a Samajwadi party candidate Ravidas Mehrotra, who contested the assembly polls from the Lucknow Central constituency, the seat he had won in 2012. However, this time he was defeated by Brijesh Pathak of the BJP.

The lock displayed the brand name ‘Modi magic’ with ‘doubling locking’ also written on it. Twitteratis were quick to take notice of the inherent irony in the image and expressed their views on the micro-blogging site.

“Here double locking means both Lok Sabha and Vidhaan Sabha.!!” tweeted Tanmay.

“This is BRUTAL. Even Locks are branded Modi. BSP SP and INC will go screaming MAD !!! I feel bad for them” noted another Tweeple @snswaraj.

Another twitter user took a swipe at Mayawati and said, “maybe the locks are tampered too. #JustSaying”.
