Rahul Gandhi says PM Modi's demonetisation drive is 'dacoity'

Rahul Gandhi lashed out Prime Minister's demonetisation drive calling it an economic robbery. He has also alleged that PM was facilitating the rich.

Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on 23 December continued his attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s demonetisation drive saying that note ban was outright financial ‘dacoity’.

Rahul Gandhi while addressing a rally in Almora district of Uttarakhand asserted that over 100 people have died since the announcement of demonetisation. He further noted that the members of the parliament were not even allowed to pay homage to the deceased.

The Congress Vice President hit out at the Prime Minister saying that the people of the country regret voting for him back in 2014.He added that the note ban was a move to fire bomb the poor while facilitating the rich. He went on to question PM Modi’s digtial economy plan by asserting that the farmers did not buy seeds via mobile phones.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had recently slammed Rahul Gandhi who levelled massive allegations against him saying that he had taken Rs 40 crore from Sahara. PM Modi sarcastically said that Rahul Gandhi who was a young politician is finally learning the art of speaking. However, the Prime Minister did not even bother to deny any of the allegations laid out by the Congress Vice President.

Gandhi backed his claim saying that the Income tax department seized a number of documents proving financial transactions taken place between Sahara and PM Modi when the IT raided Sahara back in November 2014.

Reiterating his words that the Prime Minister wanted to waive off the loans of the “rich” Gandhi said that it was the Prime Minister’s objective to stock the money of the poor while waiving the loans of the affluent.
