Protests against Kejriwal continue in Ludhiana

The protestors threw bangles on Kejriwal in the station and started sloganeering

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal de-boarded the Shatabdi Express to face a protest from workers of the ruling of Shiromani Akali Dal at Ludhiana railway station. The leader is on a three-day visit in the election-bound state of Punjab.

The protesters were joined by some Congress women-wing workers holding posters inscribed “ANTI AURAT PARTY”, “GO BACK KEJRIWAL”, “DELHI KO BARBAD KIYA, PUNJAB NAHI” protested against the Delhi CM.

Earlier in the day, in Delhi railway station, Kejriwal was allegedly attacked by some BJP women worker. In that incident also, Kejriwal was waved bangles though he was behind dark window of Shatabdi Express.

In a report, Times of India (TOI) quoted Youth Akali Dal leader Gurdeep Singh Gosha saying, “We have brought bangles for him and threw them on him to put across the message that we will not allow him to pollute Punjab. We are not going to tolerate it”

Meanwhile seniors leaders reached the station and escorted Kejriwal out of the station.
