This year's General Budget likely to be unveiled on Feb 1

It has been supposed that funds for various government schemes and projects would be allocated earlier and lead to a better implementation

Parliament’s budget session is likely to commencing from January 31 and will last till February 9. The decision was taken on January 3 by the Cabinet committee on Parliamentary affairs.

The meeting was attend by all the members of the committee including Finance minister Arun Jaitley, Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Minster of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj and Minister of parliamentary affairs Ananth Kumar.

On February 1, Union Minster of Finance Arun Jaitley will present the combined union budget along with the allocations for the railways. It will be for the first time in past 92 years when the railway budget has been amalgamated with the union budget and will be announced on the same day.

During these three weeks of the budget session, it has been supposed that funds for various government schemes and projects would be allocated earlier and lead to a better implementation. Earlier, the funds were

Earlier, the funds were generally not allocated from the very beginning of the financial year. This action had caused a huge choking of funds.

However, a group of secretaries in the government have suggested few advancement in the budget to cut short the problems.
