Tamil Nadu crisis: Police, revenue officials inquire AIADMK MLAs staying in resort

A team of police and revenue officials reached there to inquire whether they are staying in resort of their own free will or otherwise.

In the wake of complaints that as many as 120 AIADMK MLAs have been held captive at a resort in Koovathur near Mahabalipuiram, a team of police and revenue officials reached there to inquire whether they are staying in resort of their own free will or otherwise. Meanwhile, Sasikala Natarajan has writn letter to Tamil Nadu Governor seeking appointment to prove majority.

The officials reached resort in the morning and began independednt questioning fronm each and every MLA. They also wanted the MLAs to furnish written declarations, says a report in TImes of India.

The team, led by additional DSP Tamilselvan and district revenue officer Ramachandran, reached the resort and began independent inquires with every MLA.

AIADMK supporters switch camps

Two party MPs have switched camp and lent their support to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam. While some AIADMK supporters have reached Poes Garden to meet Sasikala Natarajan.

Earlier on February 10, the Madras High Court observed that it was a serious issue if MLAs are confined. Two petitions have been filed in the court to trace two AIADMK legislators.

The legislators have been staying in the resort since February 8. The MLAs were taken to the resort in buses.
