Tamil Nadu crisis: 130 MLAs backing Sasikala sent to undisclosed location

In the very latest development of Tamil Nadu’s political crisis, on February 8, 130 MLAs backing Sasikala Natarajan have been secreted away. It has been reported that, AIADMK MLAs have been kept in a hotel at an undisclosed location.

Amidst the growing crisis in Tamil Nadu, Sasikala along with her supporting MLAs have requested to meet the President Pranab Mukherjee in New Delhi.

Earlier in the day, AIADMK General Secretary Sasikala Natarajan refuted all the charges levelled against her by the acting CM O. Panneerselvam. At the meeting held at the AIADMK headquarters, Sasikala told MLAs, nothing can break party’s unity and no force can break AIADMK.

In the meeting, she also claimed that she has the support of the party members and the people of the state to become the CM of Tamil Nadu and said that the party will work in path shown by Amma. She also requested cadre to stay united.

Amid ongoing uproar over Sasikala’s elevation, acting Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu O Panneerselvam on February 8 also addressed a press conference just a day after being sacked as the AIADMK treasurer. He claimed that he was forced to resign as TN CM.

Clearing air about speculations of him joining other party Panneerselvam said that he had no plans to join any other party and that he had served AIADMK with utmost loyalty.
