Sonia Gandhi hits out at PM Modi in an open letter to her supporters in Raebareli

Sonia Gandhi took a jibe at PM Modi saying that the whole country is in anguish due to their (BJP) wrong policies and poor governance.

Just a day before Raebareli goes to polls in the fourth phase of Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections 2017, Congress President Sonia Gandhi wrote an open letter to the people of the state and lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for neglecting her Lok Sabha constituency.

“Raebareli and Amethi have become an integral part of our lives, ours is a special relationship. Due to some reasons, I couldn’t be present between all of you this time. Representing you is a matter of pride for me, my family,” the Congress President said.

Sonia also mocked Bharatiya Janata Party and said that “they (BJP) took away your land, your job and your hard earned money.”

Slamming PM Modi, she said, “The current elections is very important. The people of Uttar Pradesh have given them (BJP) so much but rather than bringing achhe din then snatched everything you had.”

She went to add that the whole country is in anguish “due to their (BJP) wrong policies and poor governance.” “Farmers are in trouble, youngsters are not getting job, housewives are struggling due to inflation. Our Dalits men are living in fear. The whole country is looking up to you (people). I request you to vote for Congress candidates,” she further asserted.

The fourth phase of polling in Uttar Pradesh will be held on February 23 in 53 constituencies, including Pratapgarh, Kaushambi, Allahabad, Jalaun, Jhansi, Lalitpur, Mahoba, Banda, Hamirpur, Chitrakoot and Fatehpur. The counting of votes will take place on March 11.
