Shoe hurled at Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal

A shoe was thrown at Prakash Singh while he was addressing an election campaign.

In a shocking incident, someone hurled a shoe at the Chief Minister of Punjab Parkash Singh Badal while he was reportedly attending a Sangat Darshan in the Lambi district of Punjab.

The police have managed to detain one person. According to initial reports, the Badals were left furious after an unidentified youth threw a boot at him. The shoe did hit the Punjab CM and even shattered a glass in his hand.

The incident came just a day after a number of people belonging to Lalbhai village created a chaos as the Chief Minister was making a speech. Even last week, some people threw stones as his convoy passed on the very first day of the election campaign. Some of the people at the rally claimed that they were not being able to build toilets because the government had not allotted them any grants for doing so.

The people started to lash out at the Badals just when they urged them to vote for them in Punjab elections 2017.

A similar incident took place in the year 2014 when an unidentified youth hurled a shoe at the Punjab CM. However, the Badals claimed that the man belonged to the Aam Aadmi Party.
