Narendra Modi addresses Parivartan rally in Lucknow: Top 10 highlights

PM Modi, while addressing the rally, appreciated the spirit what the people of Lucknow have for the rally. He said," I am associated with the Indian politics for a long time but have never seen such a huge rally."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with the BJP cadre reached Lucknow on January 2 with their Parivartan Rally ahead of the Uttar Pradesh state elections.

PM Modi, while addressing the rally, appreciated the spirit what the people of Lucknow have for the rally. He said,” I am associated with the Indian politics for a long time but have never seen such a huge rally.”

Before PM Modi’s speech, BJP National Chief Amit Shah and Union Home minister Rajnath Singh slammed the ruling party and the chaos they have created since last few months. They took a dig on BSP and Mayawati as well and collectively criticised both the parties for causing no development across the state while having ruled for a long duration.

Here’s what PM Modi said in his speech:

  • For us, there is only one high command and it is the “People of India”
  • When they say “Remove Modi”, I would say “Remove Black Money”. If they again say “Remove Modi”, I would say “Remove Corruption”
  • “Have you ever seen the BSP and SP agreeing on same things? However, they both agree on Modi Hatao.”

  • Taking the dig at the on ging chaos within the Samajwadi Party, PM said that it was extremely “unfortunate” that development is not the priority for the current rulers.
  • Forget cast and creed and vote for the development of the state.
  • Gowth has been absent in Uttar Pradesh for the last 14 years. Before changing the future of the country need to change the future of Uttar Pradesh

  • It’s not about us who didn’t get powers in past 14 years, it’s about the development which didn’t happen in Uttar Pradesh for those 14 years
  • Politics within the parties should remain within the parties. It should not effect the public anyway.
  • If Fund released for the state were used correctly, UP would have reached to another level of development.
  • Lucknow is the land of Atal ji and many other political leaders
