In a shocking and a big blow ahead of the 2017 UP State Assembly polls, the Income tax department is probing BSP supremo Mayawati’s brother Anand Kumar and his secret nexus with the builders.
As learned from several reports, Anand Kumar has been held under the I-T Department’s radar having connections with the benami properties and the notices have also been sent.
Anand Kumar came first in the lime light in April 2015 when the Financial Invetigation Unit (FIU), falling under finance ministry, prepared a report quoting all doubtful transactions in thousands of crores by an organisation run by him.
The FIU also approached the Enforcement Directorate to conduct further probe in such transactions. However, the finance ministry has also given a green signal to the probe.
Priviously, several media reports also exhibited similar heavy transactions from Kumar’s side with several builders of Noida and Greater Noida.
