The video shows him touching the woman's back. So passengers waiting to board the train saw the constable and raised an alarm.

People wonder why more women do not walk up to law enforcement when faced with harassment, sexual or otherwise. The answer probably lies in this video currently doing the rounds of social media. In it, a cop can be seen trying to touch a woman sitting next to him, assuming that nobody is watching him. However, a person sitting right opposite filmed the entire incident.

The video, recorded at a railway station, is reportedly of a Railway Protection Force constable, Jahangir, and as per NDTV, he was posted at Kalyan police station in Mumbai.

The video shows him touching the woman’s back. So passengers waiting to board the train saw the constable and raised an alarm. One can hear angry voices from the crowd asking the woman to slap the cop while the policeman pretends that nothing untoward has taken place.

She does eventually hit him with the support of the crowd, who join in at some point. However, the cop can be seen threatening everyone and leaving the spot.

“As soon as we saw the video, we conducted an inquiry and immediately suspended the constable,” the Divisional Commissioner of Central Railways, Sachin Bhalode told the leading daily. However, constable might not be charged with molestation as no official complaint has been registered.
