Hindu nationalist party, Hindu Mahasabha lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his move to demonetise Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes.
The organisation has went on to call the Prime Minister an “anti-Hindu” and have asserted that the demonetisation is going to end his rule. They have also alleged that PM Modi was promoting the Islamic banks which is why he took this decision during the “Hindu wedding season”.
Asserting that they still have no idea about the move was undertaken, Hindu Mahasabha’s national general secretary Pooja Shakun Pandey told The Times of India, “The move has affected the rich but only the poor who were earning Rs 200- Rs 300 per day and the people depending on government pensions.”
“Morreover, it was announced during the Hindu wedding season. Families had no option but to borrow money from their friends and relatives. Some had to postpone, or even cancel the wedding ceremonies. While, leaders of the so-called Hindutva party were busy encouraging Islamic banking in the country,” she added.
Pandey was talking about the first sharia-compliant Islamic banking service in Sholapur launched by a BJP MLA in the month of September.
The Hindu outfit also unleashed a scathing attack on PM Modi saying that he just gain supporters for his “fake” surgical strikes. The organisation’s UP spokesperson, Ashok Kumar Pandey said that even if there were any surgical strikes, it had done no good and a number of soldiers were still dying because of cross-border tension. He further said that the Modi government had created fear among people due to which the people are forced to support his demonetisation drive.
