Lucknow encounter: Rajnath Singh again praises Saifullah's father, this time in Rajya Sabha

"The whole incident will be probed by NIA", said Rajnath Singh on Lucknow terror operation and Madhya Pradesh train blast

Home Minister Rajnath Singh said that the Lucknow encounter that took place on March 7 will be probed by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), he made the statement  while addressing Rajya Sabha on March 10.

“The whole incident will be probed by NIA”, said Rajnath Singh on Lucknow terror operation and Madhya Pradesh train blast.

Lauding Saifullah’s father once again, Rajnath said “Even Saifullah’s father have decided not to accept his son’s body and for taking this stand entire country is proud of him”. He also informed the Rajya Sabha that eight suspects have been arrested in the encounter case so far.

Meanwhile on the Bhopal-Ujjain passenger train blast Home Minister said, Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) were used for the explosion, however, Madhya Pradesh police acted swiftly in the case.

On Saifullah’s father refusing to take his son’s body, Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman PJ Kurien said, I think the whole house(Rajya Sabha) will be proud of the sentiments of his(Saifulla)’s father”

Earlier on March 9, Rajnath Singh had briefed the Lok Sabha on the Lucknow encounter, that took place between the ATS personnel and terrorist Saifullah in the Thakurganj area of Lucknow and lasted for 12 hours.

In Lok Sabha also, Home Minister had praised Saifullah’s father for disowning his son and said, “Parliament is sympathetic towards Saifulla’s father and so am I.”
