Leader Who Threatened To Behead Deepika Padukone Is Back In The BJP

Is this BJP's idea of Beti Bachao?

Remember Haryana’s BJP leader Suraj Pal Amu who had announced Rs 10 crore bounty for beheading Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone during Padmavat row last year? The man who had quit BJP in November 2017 as a ‘mark of protest’ because he felt that his party wasn’t doing enough to defend Rajput honour? Well, he is now back. No, he isn’t rejoining. It’s just that the Haryana BJP never really accepted his resignation.

“I had resigned from different posts of Bharatiya Janata Party Haryana Unit many months back and today Haryana BJP chief Subhash Barala has rejected it. For about 29-30 years I have been at different posts in the party and its student wing. These were very tough 8 months for me to stay away from the party, however, I kept working in different social organisations. It is like a homecoming for me,” Amu told ANI.

While Amu is back in the party after his ‘short break, one must not forget the list of controversial things he has said. From openly threatening to burn cinema halls in the country to making sexist comments against female TV anchors during live debates, Sural Pal Amu has done it all.

Thank you BJP, well done on creating a safe environment for women in Haryana.
