Kill politicians for looting India but spare soldiers: Pappu Yadav tells Maoists

Pappu Yadav has sparked yet another controversy for urging the Maoists to kill politicians instead of the Indian soldiers who protect us

Jan Adhikar Party MP Pappu Yadav sparked row after he made a controversial statement stating that Maoists should kill the politicians instead of the Indian soldiers who in fact protect our country. Pappu Yadav appealed to the Maoists that they should target the politicians because they “loot” the country and not the jawans.

Pappu Yadav made this statement during his visit to a CRPF jawan in Darbhanga who lost his life in the Sukma Naxal attack. While speaking to the media, Pappu Yadav affirmed that if the Maoists feel exploited they should kill the politicians first.

“Politicians are looting the country, so Maoists should first kill them”, Pappu Yadav told the reporters in Hajipur. He also took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi asking to explain as to why demonetisation was unsuccessful in curbing Maoist attacks adding that the PM had claimed note ban would fracture Maoist operations.

“Modi had claimed that corruption, terrorism and Maoist problems will be eliminated after demonetisation.,” he said. Pappu Yadav was expelled from the RJD in the year 2015 after allegations of “anti-party activities.”

In what is being termed as one of the most deadly attacks, 25 CRPF jawans were killed in an encounter with the Maoists in the Sukma area of Chhattisgarh. At least 300 Maoists reportedly attacked about 150 soldiers stationed to guard the under construction road in the area. The Maoists who used rocket launchers and automatic weapons to attack the jawans even went on to loot the weapons of the soldiers.

The government condemned the attacks and affirmed that stern action would be taken against those responsible.Pappu Yadav has sparked yet another controversy for urging the Maoists to kill politicians instead of the Indian soldiers who protect us
