Exclusive: Dangal girl Zaira Wasim should return from the 'filth' of Bollywood, says separatist Asiya Andrabi

Separatists have steered clear of reports about Zaira receiving threat from them.

Calling herself a “mother” Kashmiri separatist Asiya Andrabi has advised  Dangal girl Zaira Wasim to “return from the filth of Bollywood.”  The separatist leader added that she doesn’t want to blame Zaira as she is just a child who worked in the film with her parents’ consent. “Doors of Kashmir are always open. Above all Allah is all forgiving,” Andrabi said.

However, Andrabi completely rubbished reports about separatists sending Zaira any threats for meeting Mehbooba Mufti. After Zaira posted an open apology on Facebook urging everyone to not treat her as a role model of Kashmiri youth and saying, “she is not proud of her work”, several media channels reported that she had received threats from separatists.  Superintendent of Police, Sheikh Faisal said that no such complaint has been registered.

The moderate Hurriyat led by Mirwaiz Dr Umar Farooq laughed off the news. “We don’t believe in threatening people. National media blames separatists all the times for the sake of it,” Hurriyat’s Media Head advocate Shahid Ul Islam said.

Speaking to inuth, Andrabi had more to add. During an exclusive chat with InUth, Asiya said that it doesn’t matter to the separatists whether Zaira meets Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti or Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “Our stand is very clear on such issues. We have nothing to do with this”

After posting an apology on Facebook, something which took the internet by storm, Zaira again appeared on the social media with her clarification.

“Regarding my last post, I have no idea why this has become such a big issue. I just wanted to make sure that I did not hurt anyone’s feelings and all of a sudden it has been turned into national news,” Zaira said in a statement issued on Facebook account.

“Again and again I am telling people that I have not been forced into anything by anyone. This was post was not meant against anyone, just wanted to make sure that people were not hurt by what I was doing. From media to everyone else, please don’t blow this out of proportion. Neither was I forced nor am I against anyone. Hopefully, this post just stops this once and for all.”

As per the sources, Zaira was saddened by the fact that her picture with the chief minister was clubbed with that of Insha Mushtaq, a girl blinded by pellets during the Kashmir unrest.  The morphed picture was doing the rounds on social media since Zaira met Mehbooba Mufti.
