Is Sasikala being given special privileges in jail? This CCTV footage says so

In a video released, you can see Sasikala entering the main gate of the prison where she is serving jail term in the corruption case

A month after senior officials confirmed that special privileges were being provided to AIADMK leader Sasikala who is currently serving 4 jail term in the disproportionate assets case, a video has emerged that shows the politician entering the jail with a bag. The video is being produced as a proof that she had been receiving special treatment while inside the jail. In the video, you can see Sasikal entering the main gate of the high-security prison while in presence of the security officials giving out the idea that she may have been allowed to go out of the jail in civil clothes.

The video will now be reportedly handed over to Anti-Corruption Bureau of Karnataka who will probe the matter further. It is being reported that Sasikala has paid a bribe of Rs 2 crore to receive the special treatment while serving her time in jail. Sasikala is reportedly being provided with special meals and a special cell with the facility of television. She is also reportedly allowed to leave the prison premises.

Days after DIG Roopa claimed that Sasikala had offered a bribe to top prison officials, the officer was transferred to the traffic and road safety department. “Sasikala has given Rs 1 crore bribe to Rao (DGP HN Sathyanarayana Rao (prison)) and another Rs 1 crore was distributed among officials, including warden of the central jail where she is serving a four-year sentence in an illegal wealth case for allowing her special privileges,” Roopa was quoted as saying.
