Haryana man dies after son of INLD leader allegedly attacked him with swords, dragged him with car

A man was dragged down the streets before being attacked with swords allegedly by Haryana politician's son. The accused has been arrested

In a shocking incident, a young man was killed after a local politician’s son from Haryana brutally beat him up and dragged him from his car. The victim has been identified as 26-year-old Varinder Singh, was attacked in his own residence by a group of six men who slashed him with swords before dragging him on the streets near Chandigarh.

According to an NDTV report, the accused has been identified as Manmeet Singh Waraich, who is the son of a local contractor, Gurpreet Kaur Waraich. The police has managed to arrest the accused. However, the motive behind the brutal attack has not been ascertained as yet. The report further added that the accused left Varinder Singh to die on the streets. The family members of Varinder Singh even took to streets to demand immediate arrest of the accused. Some of them alleging that the victim’s face was beyond recognition.

Out of the six 2 including Manmeet have been arrested. Meanwhile, an investigation has been launched and police are making efforts to nab the rest of the men who attacked the victim. Even the exact cause of the incident is not known, the victim’s family believe that Manmeet and Varinder Singh got into a tussle last year but they had assumed they had sorted the issue out.

“They dragged him out and attacked him with swords,” an eyewitness and the victim’s uncle told the media. The men attacked Varinder out of nowhere just when had sat down to have his dinner. Following which, two of the men opened the car’s rear and dragged the victim around by holding his ankles and left him on the streets after the ride. A group of people found Varinder in a pool of blood and rushed him to the hospital but was declared brought dead by the doctors.
