Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh has 50 gangsters as his neighbours in Rohtak's Sunariya jail

After the self-styled guru was sentenced to 20 years in jail, the Haryana government has withdrawn the Z plus security that was earlier provided to him

After being found guilty of rape, head of Dera Sacha Sauda sect Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh has been shifted to a cell in Rohtak’s Sunariya jail where many other gangsters are his neighbours. Reportedly, there are around 50 criminals from eight gangs who are presently lodged in the prison right now.

Other prisoners in the jail also have a threat from these gangsters and Gurmeet Ram Rahim has been kept in a different cell. In each cell, not more than five prisoners can be kept and these cells are heavily guarded by the police. However, due to security reasons, he will not share the cell with anyone.

Meanwhile, since he was brought to the prison on Friday, the 50-year-old self-styled guru has not stopped weeping, he is also not talking to anyone and has not eaten solid food. The information of it was given by a man who was in jail and is now out on bail. The man also added that he is only accepting sips of milk and water.

At the time he was sentenced, one the witnesses said that he had to be dragged out of the court and pleaded, ” I am innocent, please forgive me”.

The cell in which he has been kept will be guarded by two policemen and two security guards. After the self-styled guru was sentenced to 20 years in jail, the Haryana government has withdrawn the Z plus security that was earlier provided to him.
