Gujarat assembly elections: Nitish Kumar may join hands with Hardik Patel to fight against BJP

Now, if this alliance comes on the floor, it will harm the strategies of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) who are one of the competitors in Gujarat

Ahead of the Gujarat Assembly elections scheduled to happen this year, a big blow is likely to come up for the active parties in the state as the Janata Dal (United) led by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar who has given certain indications to join hands with Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) lead by Hardik Patel and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). As per the media reports, the JDU sources have also confirmed that Bihar CM Nitish Yadav is likely to visit Gujarat in the coming month were he may join a rally of Hardik Patel.

On the other hand, the Election Commission (EC) has not made any official announcement of the polling dates which are supposed to be held in the month of November this year as by the current assembly will be ending in December.

Nitish and Hardik have been working very closely and one of the closest aides of Patel, Akhilesh Katiyar has been inducted in JDU. Katiyar was recently promoted and was made the national general secretary after PAAS leader’s recommendation. Currently, Katiyar is handling the party matters in Gujarat and is believed to be the link between Nitish and Hardik Patel.

Both the leaders and their parties have the same thought that an alliance can increase the winning chances as Nitish has been focusing on the General Assembly elections 2019 and where this alliance could be a big game-changer. Now, if this alliance comes on the floor, it will harm the strategies of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) who are one of the competitors in Gujarat and have already eyed on the victory in the elections.
