Embarrassing! Siblings in UP caught by anti-Romeo squad, UP CM Adityanath warns police officials

It seems that the anti-Romeo squad formed on the orders of newly elected Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath is suffering from lot misunderstandings and embarrassment. In order to save women from the harassment, the police officials have taken serious actions against the couples but some of them have resulted in embarrassment. In a shameful incident in Deoria, UP, the police took a boy and a girl to a police station which later were identified as siblings.

On March 24, a brother and sister were held by the police in Deoria, when to to Hanuman Chauraha for some work. The siblings told police many times about their relation but officials did not believe on them. However, the parents reached the police station and confirmed that they both were brother and sister only. After knowing the reality, the police officials apologized and let them go.

Certainly, this turned out to be a disgraceful situation for the police officials.Dr. Ajay Kumar Singh, CO City, said the anti-Romeo squad members have been advised to take an action after observing the situation properly.

After knowing about the incident, CM Adityanath said strict action will be taken against the person responsible for such happening. The Chief Minister has instructed high officials to make sure that these types of incidents do not happen.

BJP leader S Prakash told ANI, “CM Yogi made it very clear that the anti-Romeo squad which was very essential in Uttar Pradesh is not to harass the couples or students or girls who are interacting with mutual consent. This was a very significant message from him that innocent people will not be troubled.”
