A 20-year-old woman was allegedly raped and pushed off from the fourth floor of an under-construction building in semi-naked condition at Begumpur in Delhi’s Rohini. The police said that the incident was reported to them around 11 pm on Friday, when the victim’s friends made a PCR call.
The victim suffered severe head injuries and is still battling for her life. She is yet to record her statement with police.

“The victim is still on life support. Her condition has improved marginally, but she is still not out of danger,” Dr Puneeta Mahajan, medical director of Dr BS Ambedkar Hospital in Rohini, told Hindustan Times. “The police are yet to record the victim’s statements as her condition is still critical. She has suffered severe head injuries,” she added.
The woman, who is an assistant chef at a five-star hotel in south Delhi, had gone out with her friend, her boyfriend and the 22-year-old accused. The four were travelling on one bike and were intercepted by the police at Punjabi Bagh. Their bike was seized as they did not have valid documents and the four then took an auto-rickshaw. On reaching Begampur, the accused offered to drop the victim home and said he would get his car from his house.

Police said the accused asked his friends to be seated in the autorickshaw till he comes back. He, however, led her to an under construction building and sexually assaulted the victim and pushed her off the fourth floor when she tried to raise an alarm. Her family alleged that there was another man who was also present there but so far, police have only nabbed one accused.
