Chetan Bhagat's reason for criticising Supreme Court's judgement banning sale of firecrackers in Delhi will SHOCK you

Noted author Chetan Bhagat has criticised Supreme Court's judgement banning sale of fire crackers in Delhi

Noted author and social media celeb Chetan Bhagat has slammed the Supreme Court’s move to restore the ban on sale of firecrackers in Delhi-NCR (National Capital Region). In a series of Tweets, Bhagat expressed his disapproval over apex Court’s order and questioned why only Hindu Festivals are being targetted. Demanding a regulation over ban, Chetan said that banning crackers in Diwali is like banning Christmas trees on Christmas and goats on Bakr-Eid. He also expressed surprise on how one day of Diwali could cause disorders while “unchecked polluters pollute everyday” The 2 states author also said those who fight to remove crackers for Diwali should “show the same passion in reforming other festivals full of blood and gore”.

The top court, through its November 11 order last year, suspended all licences which “permit the sale of fireworks, wholesale and retail within the territory of NCR”. The SC’s decision came amid growing concerns over the impact of pollution created by firecrackers. Each year, the festival leaves the air in Delhi thick with smoke and pollution.
