Chennai Airport Introduces Humanoid Robots, Twitter Asks Them To Fix Urinals First

Two of these humanoid robots have already been introduced on a 'trial' basis

To rid passengers of hassles and introduce them to smart travelling, Chennai airport launched humanoid robots on Thursday. The robot will be at the service of visitors, performing a variety of different tasks, including welcoming passengers and answering queries with special abilities to ‘decipher accents’.

Two of these humanoid robots have already been introduced on a ‘trial’ basis. One bot has been positioned at the ‘Arrival’ and ‘Departure’ sections in the domestic terminal.  “Humanoid Robots introduced on trial basis at Chennai Airport. The robot will provide info on Chennai Airport and its amenities,” the official Twitter handle of the Chennai airport said.

The robots can navigate by themselves, they can even identify and greet passengers and clear all their doubts.

However, this latest use of artificial intelligence couldn’t manage to impress Twitter even a bit.
