CBSE announced the result of class 10th on June 3 at 1 pm on its official website cbse.nic.in or cbseresults.nic.in. But till now Mumbai students do not know the marks that they have scored in the different subject as the board has only sent them grades. Not only Mumbai but some schools in Pune and Nagpur, after four hours of the announcement of the results, have not got marks of each student. Whereas schools in Navi Mumbai like other places have received marks of every student.
As the board is announcing the class result region-wise, the results of Delhi, Allahabad, Dehradun, Chennai and Trivandrum came out first. Last year CBSE class 10th result were declared on May 28. Due to the discussion on the moderation marks policy, there was a delay in the announcement of the results this year. Over 16 lakh students appeared for the exam this year.
Delhi saw a major dip in the pass percentage this year as compared to the last year. In 2016, the pass percentage of Delhi was 91.76% whereas the pass percentage this year is 78.09, leading to a dip of 13.67%. On the fall in the pass percentage this year, Soumya Gupta, director at the directorate of education, said, “We will have to examine what is going on. We are yet to look at all the data and analyse it sector-wise.”
Last year as many as 168541 students scored perfect Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 10 points and 96.21 percent of the students who had appeared for the exams had passed.
