Twitter bhakts baffled: How can Modi government rank 'anti-national' JNU as the 6th best university in India

Soon after the news about JNU made it to top 10 universities in India broke, social media site Twitter got flooded with the reactions

As the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) released the rank of the top Indian educational institutes on Monday, Jawaharlal Nehru University making at the top of the list has left people thinking that how the ‘anti-national’ JNU managed to be the 6th best university in India.

According to the list released by NIRF, Indian Institute of Science (IISc) at Bengaluru in Karnataka has been adjudged the No.1 higher educational institute in the country, while the Indian Institute of Management at Ahmedabad in Gujarat is the top management institute.

Delhi’s Jamia Hamdard College is the number one in pharmacy category, while Miranda House has been ranked the best college in the country.

The Union Human Resource Development Minister, Prakash Javadekar released the rankings by NIRF. Over 3,300 institutes participated in the second edition of the India Rankings.
