BJP leader Vijay Jolly robbed by bikers while having golgappas on Delhi streets

In a shocking incident, Delhi-BJP’s former general secretary and vice president Vijay Jolly was robbed on the streets of the national capital on may 31 while having golgappas with one of his friends. The robbers took away his laptop, digital camera and other important documents, as alleged by Jolly. he also claimed that he tried to chase the robbers who came in a motorcycle but due to heavy traffic on the road, he couldn’t nab them.

As per several media reports, Jolly and his friend were on his way to Janakpuri from his office in Sangam Vihar on May 31 evening when this incident happened. He said,” As I passed by Lado Sarai, I noticed a well-known street food stall and we thought to stop and have some gol gappe.”

Moments after the incident, a couple standing nearby drew their attention towards the car. He said,”The right window at the back was smashed and my laptop, digital camera, flight tickets to Cambodia and some official documents.”

He further enquired about the robbers after which he came to know that they were two young men who came on a bike that didn’t have a registered number plate. Later, Jolly filed a complaint at the Saket police station, however, the thieves are yet to be identified.

While speaking to media personnel, Jolly condemned the act and said,”I am very shocked. If an ex-MLA could be robbed like this, imagine the condition of the common people.”

“Motorcycle-bourne gangs are spreading terror in the South Delhi region. The police should take strict actions against all these activities to ensure safety in the city,” he added.
