AR Rahman to sit on fast on January 20 as Jallikattu issue intensifies

In the morning Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, O. Panneerselvam also had a meeting with Prime Minister Modi in New Delhi over the issue.

As the Jallikattu row intensifies, Tamil Nadu is seen to be united on the issue for uplifting the ban imposed by the Supreme Court. Many celebrities has also joined in the protest against the ban. Latest to show the support is academy award winner musician A.R.Rahman, who hails from the state.

He on a tweet wrote that on January 20 he will sit on a fast to protest against the ban on the famous bull taming sport.

Seeing the outrage, today in the morning Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, O. Panneerselvam had a meeting with Prime Minister Modi.

Earlier, many actors from South like superstar Rajnikanth, Kamal Hasan and others have voiced their support against the ban.

On Januray 18 also in a bizarre incident, a man buries himself in sand near Marina beach as Jallikattu protest intensifies across the state.

Yesterday, thousands of people gathered at Marina beach in Chennai demanding lift on Supreme Court’s ban on the famous bull taming sport. Protesters believe that it is a part of their culture and also demand Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam’s statement on it.

As the agitation grows across Tamil Nadu, protesters from Madurai to Chennai join in, they also demand banning on PETA.
