AIADMK member dies after hearing about Jayalalithaa's health condition

Jayalalithaa suffered cardiac arrest last evening.

In a shocking incident, an AIADMK member from the Cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu reportedly passed away after learning about Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa’s health condition yesterday night.

The cause of the death has not been ascertained as yet.

Tamil Nadu is on the brink of chaos after Jayalalithaa suffered a cardiac arrest late Sunday and had to be shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Jayalalithaa’s supporters have gathered in large number outside the Apollo hospital in Chennai with additional security being deployed to avoid trouble outside the hospital.

Various MP’s from the state have rushed to the hospital to check on the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister. Jayalalithaa’s supporters gathered in large number outside the Apollo hospital in Chennai.

“She is on extracorporeal membrane heart assist device and is being treated by a team of expert doctors and critical care specialists. Dr Richard Beale from London has also been consulted and he has concurred with the line of treatment by our cardiologists & pulmonologists.” the Apollo hospital said in a statement.

he Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation has also temporarily stopped bus services to Tamil Nadu after an incident of stone pelting near Tiruvannamalai-Latha.

Union Home Minister JP Nadda affirmed that the government was in constant touch with the hospital and all the necessary measures are being taken to ensure that amma recovers soon.

The AIADMK supremo is undergoing a treatment at the Apollo hospital since 22 September, after she complained of fever and dehydration. However, the hospital later said that she was being treated for infection and had to be put on respiratory support.
