Saif Ali Khan won over the audience with his performance in Race and Race 2, which are the biggest hits for the actor till date. Ramesh Taurani recently announced Race 3 which will have Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez in lead. Ever since the announcement, there have been speculations about Saif’s involvement in the third installment of the franchise.
Khan launched the theatrical trailer of his upcoming film Chef at an event in Mumbai. When the actor was asked about his involvement in Race 3, he said,
“No, I have not been approached for Race 3. Ramesh Ji had told me last year that he would be making a completely new movie with a new star-cast. I love Ramesh Ji and who better than Salman Khan for being cast in Race 3? I wish them both luck, but I have not been approached for the film.”

There have been reports about Amitabh Bachchan being cast alongside Salman Khan in Race 3, however, the producers are yet to confirm the same. The action thriller will be directed by Remo D’Souza and is expected to go on floors in October this year. The shooting will begin with a song to be shot in Mumbai followed by a prolonged schedule abroad.
Talking about Chef, Saif Ali Khan revealed that it was a very special film to him and was made so that it could be watched across India. The movie is based on a universal premise and highlights the importance of father-son bond. The actor is hopeful that just like the international film, Chef, even the Indian remake would prove to be a sleeper hit.

Chef is the official adaptation of Hollywood film by the same name and is directed by Raja Krishna Menon, who is known for directing Airlift. The film produced by T Series is slated to release on October 6.
