Producer Ramesh Taurani has confirmed that Race 3 will go on floors in October this year with Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez in lead. The shooting of the film, directed by Remo D’Souza will start with a month long schedule in Mumbai and the pre-production has already begun. Taurani has recruited a team to construct multiple sets in the city.
The shooting will begin with a song shoot wherein Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez will dance to the recreated version of Allah Duhai Hai from Race. After a month long schedule in Mumbai, the team will fly abroad where 70% of the film will be shot. The reccee is currently in progress and the locations will be locked soon.
Taurani is in talks with several A-List actors to play the parallel lead alongside Salman Khan, and an official announcement about the same is expected soon. Sources reveal that even Saif Ali Khan was approached for the parallel lead, however, the actor wasn’t too keen to take up the part.

Race 3 is a reboot to the Race Franchise and the producer has planned the film on a grand scale. There was a strong buzz in the trade that the film will be made in 3D, however when we contacted producer Ramesh Taurani, he said,
No, the film will not be made in 3D. We start shooting from October in Mumbai.
Taurani also confirmed that the film will hit the big screen during the Eid 2018 weekend. He said:
Yes, that goes without saying. We release in Eid next year. An official announcement about the entire star-cast will be made within a week

Race and Race 2 were huge hits at the Box Office, it would be interesting to see if Race 3 ups the game for the franchise.
