After giving us songs like Bloody Hell, Ye Ishq Hai and Mere Miyan Gaye England, the makers of Rangoon have released the fourth song from the film, titled Tippa. The song is a really peppy number and will instantly make you fall in love with it.
Tippa features Kangana Ranaut and Shahid Kapoor traveling in a train. Kangana aka Julia is seen dancing on the train and teasing Shahid, who is all decked up in the character of a strict army officer and is in no mood to laugh.
Sung by Sukhwinder Singh, Rekha Bhardwaj, Sunidhi Chauhan and O.S. Arun, the lyrics are penned by Gulzar. While listening to the song, you will get a feeling that you have heard the song before. And that is because it is a revised version of an old song.
Yes, just like Laila Main Laila from Raees and the Humma song from OK Jaanu, Tippa is also a recreated version of an old title track of Alice In Wonderland.

The song is a remake of Gulzar’s song from the Hindi-dubbed Japanese animated television series. And this is not the first time that Vishal Bhardwaj has included a revised version of an old song in his films. Remember Dhan Te Nan from Kaminey, it was also a remake of a song that he composed for a TV serial named Gubbare.

Rangoon is a period drama which is set in the 1940s amid the turmoil of India’s independence struggle and features Kangana Ranaut, Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor in lead roles.
The movie is scheduled for release on February 24 this year.
