Watch: The first trailer for Marvel's upcoming series Cloak & Dagger is out

The upcoming Marvel TV series Cloak & Dagger will focus on the popular superhero duo Tyrone "Ty" Johnson and Tandy Bowen.

The first trailer for Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger has been released. The upcoming Freeform cable TV series will focus on the two Marvel Comics superheroes Tyrone “Ty” Johnson and Tandy Bowen, whose powers grow enormously when they are put together.

Based on the Cloak & Dagger comics, he series follows the lives of the superhero duo Tyrone (Aubrey Joseph) aka Cloak and Tandy (Olivia Holt) aka Dagger. Tyrone and Tandy discover their superpowers in the proximity of each another. While Tyrone has the ability engulf others in his cloak of darkness (hence, Cloak), Tandy can conjure bright, shining knives (hence, Dagger).

Marvel Cloak & Dagger TV Series

Ty and Tandy hail from different backgrounds and eventually get romantically involved in the discovery of their superpowers. Besides the two teenagers fiddling with their powers, the show will also focus on their challenging personal lives and of course, teenage angst.

Aside from Joseph and Holt, the series will also feature Andrea Roth as Tandy’s mother Melissa Bowen, Gloria Reuben and Miles Mussenden as Tyrone’s parents Adina and Michael Johnson, Carl Lundstedt as Liam, James Saito as Bernard Sanjo and J.D. Evermore as Connors.

Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger will be consisting of 10 episodes and will premiere in 2018. Watch the full trailer here:
