Before entering the Roadies Xtreme audition room, Nishkarsh Arora had a small interaction with host Benafsha Soonawalla and he knew it was only his one but a powerful strength that will take him on this journey. Though he gained popularity as a contestant in Roadies Xtreme, it was just Nishkarsh’s acrobatics that impressed gang leaders as well as Rannvijay Singha.
This Roadies season, Nishkarsh captured the attention of the viewers right from the audition. The 23-year-old who was born and brought up in Delhi started his audition with dance steps but ended with some amazing calisthenics moves.
While talking about his interests, Nishkarsh said, “Since childhood, I was a very studious kid, but always had a knack for sports. I never planned what I wanted to do but I was always up for sports, and equally enthusiastic about trying new adventures.”
“In 2012, while surfing internet I end up watching Frank Medrano’s calisthenics video and it became the turning point of my life. It was then when I decided to pursue it and went to different coaching centres but as it wasn’t popular in India then, hence no coach,” said Nishkarsh.
So he started following Youtube tutorials but what made this possible was support from his father. Nishkarsh has turned his room into a training centre and he still works out there. The last five years were not easy for him, but his hard work and constant fight with pain and injuries helped him to reach where he is today.
Nishkarsh believes that it is not just the strength that helped him to excel the technique, but also patience and calmness. Considering the fact that there are not many people aware of this fitness technique, Nishkarsh has decided to spread the knowledge to the masses through social media and events. He has also started his own Youtube channel.
