With 24 and Singam 3, Suriya emerges as the second Tamil actor after Vijay to have two consecutive Rs. 100 crore grossers

Suriya last film 24 collected Rs. 100 crore worldwide. While, Vijay's last two releases, Bairavaa and Theri were Rs. 100 crore grossers as well.
Fans of Tamil actor Suriya have a reason to rejoice as the actor’s last week release, Singam 3 minted Rs. 100 crore worldwide. Directed by Hari and produced by Gnanavel Raja, the action-entertainer marks the third series of Singam franchise. Singam 3 stars Anushka Shetty and Shruti Haasan as female leads of the film.
 
The film which had released on 9 February 2017 was rock steady on the weekdays after opening to a thunderous note at the Tamil Nadu Box Office. The film registered fantastic collections across Kerala and Karnataka as well. At the Malaysian Box Office, Singam 3 grossed 3.6M MYR on its 4-day weekend itself. The film also emerged as the fifth highest opener as well.
 
On Tuesday evening, the makers of Singam 3, Studio Green Productions officially confirmed on Twitter that their action entertainer crossed the Rs 100 crore mark worldwide in just six theatrical days.
 
The film is still going strong in domestic and international markets and the combined collection of Tamil and Telugu versions is pegged at Rs 100 crore. “Releasing on a Normal Thursday#Si3Hits100CRIn6Days ! With this feat, Suriya is now the second Tamil actor after Ilyathalapathy Vijay to have two consecutive Rs. 100 crore grossers worldwide. His previous 24, a science-fiction thriller too collected Rs. 100 crore worldwide. Similar to Suriya, Vijay’s last two releases, Bairavaa and Theri were Rs. 100 crore grossers as well.
Singam 3 also marks the debut of a bodybuilding champion and TV actor Thakur Anoop Singh. The actor, who made his TV debut with the role of the blind king Dhritarashtra in the hit Mahabharata series, essays the main antagonist in Singam 3.
