The official teaser of Tamil actor Dhanush’s upcoming film Vellai Illa Pattadhar 2 has been released. The film, a sequel to his 2014 blockbuster Velaiilla Pattadhari has been written by Dhanush and directed by Tamil superstar Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth. Vellai Illa Pattadhar 2 also marks the comeback of Bollywood actress Kajol after a gap of 20-years. Her previous Tamil film, Minsara Kanavu was released in 1997.
As promised by Dhanush in the morning, Bollywood legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan took to his Twitter page to unveil the teaser. “My friend my co star my friends Son in law .. DHANUSH .. his new film trailer .. all the best,” Big B tweeted along with teaser link.
Dhanush wasted no time to thank his Shamitabh co-star and tweeted ” “Thank you so much sir 🙂 very kind of you .. our team is delighted with your blessings.”
The teaser features Samuthirakani explains the importance and necessities of good progress in life to Dhanush while the Kolaveri Di actor was seen thrashing his opponents left and right. Going by the teaser Soundarya has succeeded to bring back Dhanush in his most loved avatar as street-smart engineer Raghuvaran in his beard and glasses along with his signature jump-kick in the action scenes.

Another highlight of the teaser is the BGM score by music composer Sean Roldan though the music at the action portions reminds you the background score of Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s Kaththi.
However, fans of Kajol will definitely be disappointed with the teaser as the makers didn’t reveal even a glimpse of the Bollywood actress in the teaser of her comeback Tamil film. Seems like makers have a different plan to release the teaser featuring Kajol as Vasundhara.
Vellai Illa Pattadhar 2 also features Amala Paul, Vivek, Hrishikesh, Saranya Ponvannan, Monal Gajjar and Cell Murugan. The film is slated to the screens worldwide on Dhanush’s birthday, on July 28.
